Time Out: You are Sunshine for My Soul

Welcome back to Time Out!  It's time for our reminder post. We have a beautiful inspiration by word challenge for you:

'If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely' Road Dahl

I was a bit later to the distress oxide ink trend...but for someone who has struggled getting distress inks to sponge smoothly these are a dream!  I had fun masking off a few lines to make this one layer card.  I let the sentiment take the center stage and thought it was great for the inspiration statement.

I hope you can join us at Time Out!

Merry Christmas

Christmas in July continues on my blog over here!  I'm on a roll trying to get momentum with my Christmas cards so each one I make I'm making a few of each one. I don't typically do a whole lot of layers so this was fun to play along with the CAS(E) this Sketch.  I hope you are all getting lots of crafty time to make your favorite types of cards!

Curtain Call: Happy Birthday - Surf's Up!

Welcome to the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!  It's July 15th and we have a great summer challenge for you...Surf's Up!  I hope you and your family are getting a way to the beach or somewhere fun this year. This picture is sure to inspire you to want to go!

I made my card in March back when I was at my crafting weekend. I hadn't posted it yet and this was the perfect challenge for it. This card was made especially for my brother's friend who loves to be out on the water.

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

Please welcome our newest Guest Designer,
Lenae, SugarGem and pop on over to Curtain Call to play along with us!

Thanks!

Tracey had the most gorgeous CAS card over at Muse this week and I had to play along.  I decided to use some new PTI stamps that Jen had sent to me (thank you again Jen!) for the feathers. I love my Fresh Inks...they are gorgeous and were so fun to do this rainbow of feathers.  I'm off for a couple night get away with some girlfriends at Norris Lake so keeping this post short and sweet. I hope you all have fun weekend plans scheduled too!

PS  Sorry the photo is a little blurry...over cast here and I am running out the door!

Time Out: Gra[dad]itude

It's time for another challenge at Time Out!  I'm back with a card for the reminder post...made several weeks ago for my father in-law for Father's Day.  Cornelia is our CASE designer and you can check out her blog at Stempel Spass. She made this super fun card below.  I had fun picking up on the bird and woodgrain and making a card for Pat's dad!

For our challenge, we are being sponsored by Happy Little Stamper and the winner will receive a $15 gift certificate.  Be sure to come on over to play with us at Time Out!

Merry Christmas

I mentioned on Tuesday I'd be back with another Christmas card.  I decided to do multiples of this one as well. Love Christmas cards in non-traditional colors and very few layers so they are easy for mailing. Thank goodness for the Misti that mades it so easy to make multiples!

I so appreciate the two challenges going on for Christmas in July at Merry Monday and Happy Little Stampers. Thanks so much for inspiring me to get moving on my Christmas cards!

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!

Happy July 4th my friends!  We're having a fabulous Independence Day.  I started the day with a three mile run and then Ryan, Collin, Marcel and I went down to the local river for a five mile canoe ride followed by lunch.  Canoeing isn't comfortable for Pat's back and Jonathon was working.  We missed having them with us, but it was so nice out.  Sunny but also shady as we cruised along. I hope that you are relaxing with your families today too!

But...I think you are here for a card. It is July and I have not made a single Christmas card until this weekend...so time to get moving. I made multiples of this one and need your opinion...twine or no twine?  Please cast your votes in the comments!
Without twine?  What do you think? :)

I so appreciate the two challenges going on for Christmas in July at Merry Monday and Happy Little Stampers. Thanks so much for inspiring me to get moving on my Christmas cards!  I'll be back on Thursday with another Christmas card.
